“Bert’s Skirts” are named after our Grandfather Basilio “Bert” Muñoz. In 1954, Grandpa Muñoz came up with his famous recipe and began selling his Marinated Beef Skirt Steak to friends and business associates. The unique blend of flavorings & seasonings coupled with a tender cut of Choice Beef Skirt Steak was an immediate hit among all who tried them. For over 65 years, Dolores Foods has continued the tradition of making & selling our famous “Bert’s Skirts”. In recent years we began offering our Boneless Chicken Leg Meat. If you prefer Chicken, try our Marinated Chicken as an alternative to our Original Beef Steaks!

Each case of our “Combo Pack” has 1 bag of “Bert’s Skirts” and 1 bag of “Bert’s Chicken” (both are 5 pounds each, 10 pounds total). 

“Bert’s Skirts” and “Bert’s Chicken” are best cooked over a charcoal or gas BBQ.  Both items cook quickly.  Cook each side about 6-8 minutes to reach desired “doneness”.  If a BBQ grill is not available, product may also be cooked on a flat top griddle or electric skillet.

Our product is shipped via UPS flat-rate 2nd day air. Upon receiving your order, product should be frozen or slightly thawed.  Refrigerate or Freeze immediately. If Frozen, product has a shelf life of up to 6 months. If thawed, we recommend cooking before 10 days.  Open the package immediately before cooking and refrigerate any leftover product, and cook any “leftover” raw product in no more than 2 days.

Bert’s Skirts orders will only be shipped on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday so they can be delivered before the end of the week. All orders received after 12 pm Wednesday, and Thursday through Sunday, will be shipped the following Monday morning (except holidays).
