In an ongoing plan to showcase its products beyond the famous Dolores Chili Brick, Dolores Canning is attending the largest supermarket products show in the western United States.
Dolores is scheduled to simultaneously market its three major brands--Dolores Chili Brick, Fonda Don Chon and Roscoes's at Home--June 12 and 13 at the Unified Grocers Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center.
The show represents the region's major food companies and retailers, and serves as an opportunity for buyers to explore and sample existing and new products.
Most major retailers across the western United States and beyond carry beef and chicken Chili Brick, but the company's two newer product lines aren't as prominent yet.
Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles famous Mac 'N Cheese, Chili Mac and Greens are sold frozen under the Roscoe's at Home brand in individual-sized packages at select Southern California retailers. Fonda Don Chon's Salsa Roja, Salsa Diabla and its most famous Mojo de Ajo (garlic butter) will soon follow with SoCal area stores as a starting point for distribution.
Dolores packages and distributes the Roscoe's at Home and Fonda Don Chon brands from its Downtown L.A. facility.
Dolores sampled all three lines at the Nation's Restaurant Association Show May 18 - 21 in Chicago, IL. This gathering is the nation's largest in the food service industry.
In the 1970's, Dolores began selling its all beef Chili Brick, which quickly became "L.A.'s Favorite Chili." Beef and chicken Chili Brick are also sold in countless independents across the U.S., and is the base for many restaurant's chili.
Rocoe's at Home products are also available for sale online at RoscoesatHome.com.
