Dolores’ Chili Truck will be rolling to Azusa High tonight, joining other food trucks at a fundraising event put on by Freddy’s Food Court.
“The Chili Truck” will be serving up Dolores’ famous all-beef blend in food-truck favorites, Chili Dogs, Chili Fritos® and Chili Nachos at tonight’s event from 5-9 in the student parking lot. Proceeds will benefit The Azusa High Wresting Team.
The mobile restaurant will also be stocked with Dolores merchandise such as Hats, T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Jackets and Aprons. Chili fans will also be treated to such non-edible Dolores freebies as key chains, pens, lanyards, bumper stickers and mouse pads.
Be on the lookout for the Dolores Chili Truck every weekend wherever hungry people are found: parking lots, at carnivals and festivals, soccer matches, football games, Chili Cook-Offs or Food Truck events.
"The Chili Truck" recently toured LA stopping on several popular street corners and made appearances at a couple Superior Grocers' parking lots.
Chili fans can follow Dolores Chili on Twitter, @chilibrick or on Facebook, facebook.com/chilibrick to stay up-to-date on the truck's whereabouts.
Dolores Chili and Superior Grocers have teamed up to offer shoppers a taste of “L.A.’s Favorite Chili” at a low price.
Consumers can purchase a Dolores “Pepper Belly,” featuring the flavorful taste consumers have come to expect from Dolores, for $1.50 at select Superior Grocer outlets.
Many know "Pepper Bellies" from little league and football snack bars, however Superior has added more excitement by serving a generous scoop of Dolores Chili over a 1 oz. bag of corn chips. Superior and Dolores will also be adding Chili Nachos, Chili Fries and Chili Dogs to the line-up very soon.
Superior Grocers has been a long-time retailer of Dolores Chili, and has just recently added the company's new Chicken Chili Brick® to all of their 40 locations. Now Chili fans can buy the Original Beef Chili or the New Chicken Chili in the Meat Department for $4.99 per 20 oz. tray.
“Dolores Chili fans have enjoyed Dolores Chili over chips, Chili Cheese Nachos, Chili Dogs or Chili Fries for years, and now they can get them right here in the grocery store, so we’re very excited about serving our Dolores Chili in stores,” said Dolores president David Muñoz. “This is an opportunity for people to learn new ways to enjoy our chili.”
Dolores Canning Co. Inc, the Los Angeles manufacturer of Dolores Chili, has been selling its famous chili products in retail stores for decades.
Restaurants such as Philippe the Original in Downtown L.A. also sell Dolores Chili by the cup or bowl where patrons often purchase a bag of corn chips on the side.
"Dolores Pepper Bellies" are being sold from open to close in the bakery or deli section at select Superior stores in LA, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties with more being added.
